The Richmond Irrigation & Power Company is a nonprofit, mutual irrigation company and is not run by the city. A board of directors guides the company; stocks (shares) are issued by the company to shareholders who then have the right to use water pursuant to the water rights held by the company.
As a service to the irrigation company and its shareholders, Richmond City will post information from the company on the city website. If you have questions about the irrigation schedule, how to purchase a share, etc., PLEASE contact the company and not Richmond City.
August 18th Notice - Further Water Restrictions
Due to declining spring flows and increased demand, water use will be further restricted beginning Saturday, August 18th. City users will be limited to 12 hour periods on the weekend. Field turns are under the control of the water master. Click here for the full notice.
2018 Annual Meeting
The annual stockholders meeting was held March 8, 2018. The merger of the Richmond Irrigation Company into Richmond Irrigation and Power Company was approved. Once all the legal papers are filed, the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws (see the drafts below) will be updated.
